I'm moving to the Triangle. Looking for a house in the 275-325 range. Intend to go conventional with 20% down, escrow waiver, no points. I have excellent credit. I prefer to know the people personally so a local lender would be my first choice. I've done loans over the Internet but I just like to meet people with whom I do business. I would be grateful for any recommendations but please disclose, if you are recommending friend, family, employer or have a similar affiliation, thank you!

I did my refi with Coastal Federal. It was a bit painful to get everything done, but their overall fees were very low.

Default ADR Mortgage

I would definitely recommend American Dream Residential. I previously worked for the company (and did my mortgage through them) and the owner (Andy May) is the most knowledgable and down to earth loan officer I have spoken with. Speak with Andy May, he is straight forward and has very competitive rates.

Hope this helps
