Are there any kind of fire work shows/displays around the Raleigh area or nearby areas for the 4th?

And for future reference how do you guys find out about this stuff? Word of mouth? Google?

The fireworks show should be at the Fairgrounds...PERIOD! The space is open and you can view them at the fairgrounds or park and see them from afar.

How about we focus on the OPs question and not deviate down a road of pointlessness.

Sorry about that A fireworks display between tall buildings is just a sore subject for some of us folks who like tradition. Back to subject: Carolina Country Club has a nice little fireworks display.

Garner has a great fireworks on the 3rd with the NC Symphony. I miss having the fireworks at the fairgrounds. It was so easy to get in and out. Last year, downtown was such a headache...and we missed most of the show! Garner's show with the music is oneof the best around, but it's way crowded. I'd like to know of a show where it's relatively easy to get out. I can't stand being stuck in the car with tired kids in a ton of heat. It's just not fun.
