For those of you who frequent the western part of the state, and have eaten at any of their other locations, you will be excited about this. I wish it were closer to where I live, but hey, it's their first one and I'll give them time. I actually asked about opening one myself but they are not franchised and are all company owned.

That place is awesome. Takes forever to get a table at the Asheville location. I'll be checking it out as soon as it opens!

It does at their downtown location but there is a separate location outside of downtown that you should check out instead. We usually get in rather quickly, even with a moderately-sized party.

That place looks awesome! Also like they might be able to accommodate allergies if everything really is made from scratch. There are blessed few places I can eat out.

Oh my gosh! I am in love with their blueberry jam! Just told a friend about it since she's headed to Asheville in a few months and was craving the jam. We definitely need a great breakfast place and it's close to me!

Thanks RDUBiker! This just made my day!

OH WOW! We are BIG fans of Tupelo Honey. We just visited the one in Knoxville recently. Deliciousness.

It's kinda cool it's going to be in the new building that replaced the building where I worked ages ago. That's going to be a interesting feeling going to that corner to eat at Tupelo and not going to work. Ah, memories!

I grew up in Asheville and my folks still live there, so I visit often. I moved out in 2000, the year Tupelo Honey opened. I have tried to go to Tupelo Honey downtown on several occasions but left when I heard how long the wait would be for a table. Still have never been.

The original restaurant gets good reviews, but they have been expanding like mad lately - hopefully they can keep up the quality.

This is so funny. We go to Knoxville a couple of times a year and last time we stayed at this older, renovated boutique hotel that was right downtown and in the lower level of our building or maybe the one next door was Tupelo Honey. It was always crowded and we never made it there. I would have made a point if I had know it was so renown.

I ate at Tupelo Honey's in Asheville in 2009. I was driving cross country following highway 40. It was definitely worth it. I was in a hurry when I got to Asheville but glad that I stopped. I'll definitely check them out once they open in Raleigh.
