We went to this last year and it was great. The storytellers are VERY good. Bring a picnic lunch or just show up for a little bit. We are going with some friends. Hopefully you can bring your kids and have a great time too.

Of all the fun things we did with the kids, Wake County Library story telling time was always my favorite...especially the scary tales close to Halloween

This isn't what you think it is. We took (take) our daughter to events held at the libraries also, and those are fun and stuff, but this is a whole 'nother level of story telling. They use actual professional storytellers, not library employees, and they are dressed up in appropriate garb, with backgrounds and props, and they tell the story as if you were really there. It's like watching a movie or play, actually.

I know about the story telling at Oak View well. We took the kids there too in the later years...but before Oak View the libraries would bring in professional story tellers as well, garb and all. Groups were usually small, but the stories were great.

Right on, gotcha. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't under-selling it. Highly recommended for all ages.

Didn't seem that busy last year. It was a comfortable crowd. I hate crowds.
