This is a longshot plea to anyone that may have received a piece of Express Mail today around 1pm that doesn't belong to you.

If you received such mail, please DM me. The contents are desperately needed here.

I am appalled at the ability of the USPS to lose two pieces of mail concerning the same document. I don't even know what to do now.

Doesn't express mail come with a confirmation?

If so, the carrier scans it and find where it was left?

Sorry for the mess!

Vicki

Mailperson claims he put it in my mailbox. I witnessed the mail truck drive right past my house. We received NO mail today, let alone my anticipated Express Mail. Tracking says it was delivered. It wasn't.

Go talk to all of your neighbors. Hopefully one of them returns it. And chances are the regular letter carrier didn't handle it. When we've had express mail deliveries, it was always a different vehicle, and not our regular letter carrier.

I had some expensive electronics delivered via Express Mail one time. I watched in horror as the lady pulled up into my driveway and tossed the boxes out into my front yard from the comfort of the seat of her van.

You can bet I called and talked to them about that!

I had a similar issue. Website was updated to say delivered but the mailman had not delivered it. The post office stuck by the mailman's version and I had to get a replacement product from the shipper (free of cost).

I sent an email blast out to the neighborhood. I also walked our immediate area of 20+ houses and knocked on doors.

I've always had a different vehicle deliver these things too, but the postmaster at the PO in Cary claims it was the truck, and that the driver put it in the mailbox.

Documents are time sensitive and unable to be reordered and processed in time. Actual document is of no value to anybody else.

I was home at the time of claimed delivery and watched the online tracking change from "in route" to "delivered." There was not a mail truck or other vehicle in the vicinity at the time.

Contact your congressman(woman) and lodge a complaint. It will get the Postmaster's attention.

Have you ever done that? Were you successful in getting your complaint resolved?

You CAN go higher than your local post office. I've worked with Regional Managers from USPS who have resolved issues. I had some MAJOR delivery issues that were resolved with one phone call to the Postal Services Regional Marketing Manager.
