Did anyone feel the earth move about five minutes ago? I am in Holly Springs and the bed shook for about ten seconds?

I live in Cary, but I am down in SC visiting my dad in Saluda County. Damn, Edgefield is close to here. It shook the heck out of his HVAC, and I thought it was about to fly to pieces.

I just checked the earthquake map; epicenter about 35 miles from here. This sure felt worse than the one we felt in Raleigh a few years back; of course, that epicenter was much farther away.

I knew it! I felt the sofa move a little bit - very quick but very weird.

However I felt the same thing happen a couple of days ago too and didn't hear about an earthquake. It triggered my fear of sinkholes.

Why is it that whenever an earthquake happens (2011, today) I'm in the car driving so I can't feel it.
