I just bought a home and want to pull up the carpeting and put in laminate floors. I will likely rip up the carpeting myself to save on costs. Does anyone have recommendations on installers? My first thought is to purchase the flooring from a Lowe's or Home Depot and then hire someone to install the floor, but would also take recommendations on companies that sell and install if the price was right. The total area is about 800 square feet and it will be a floating floor on a slab. Thanks!

I used JD Floor store for my floors. I bought the flooring from them and they did everything.

If you purchase from Lowe's or Home Depot that have approved installers. They will send an installer out to measure, etc. and then give you a price that includes installation. I believe they charge $35 for the estimate but it is applied to the total cost.
Some local business will come out for free estimates and do it all.

I used Carpet One, Atlantic Ave in Raleigh. Got the laminate from their truckload sale, installation was 1.99 oer sq ft back jn 2010. Plan on using them for new carpet jn MBF when I have time.
