have you ever been to Garner? I ask because judging by your namesake, I am not sure if you're in Brooklyn or NC. If you've never been to Garner, it is quite rural. At least it was for me (just moved to the area from LI)

Yes, I have been to Garner and visited this apartment complex. The rents run about $900-950 for a 2br, 2 bath unit. I will return to Raleigh area next week for a deeper dive, hoping to talk to some residents and see what the place is like at night. But I sure would welcome any "local" intelligence at this time. They offer 7 month leases, which leads me think there's a fair amount of tenant turnover. My budget can't go higher than this and I need to be in South Raleigh area for work.

This whole area is very transient, IMO. I live in 5 yr old apartment community and since I have lived here (1 month), I have gotten mail for at least 4 different people.

I have also been subscribed to Redfin for alerts (for over a year now) when new homes in Cary come on the market. You can customize it by price range, size, etc. You can't imagine how many emails I get daily with homes coming on the market. And many of them sell FAST.
