It's interesting that, despite all their publicity, AT&T won't actually comment on the service availability areas.

AT&T told me in 2009 that U-Verse would be available on my street by year-end 2010. Considering that it's been available in other parts of my sub-division this seemed reasonable. Well, now it's 2014 (almost 2015) and they never extended the service. I would love to give somebody other than TWC my broadband dollars but no one seems to want it.

I'm rather sure there are some under-the-table goings on here. All these promises of faster service and competition have yet to materialize. You know the gov't is involved with it also, because they get a lot of contributions from this big companies. Frustrating.
