I am a 20 year old female currently living in a small town in upstate NY. I work full time as a paramedic. I am interested in relocating to the Raleigh/Durham area in the next 6 months. I would like some information on the EMS system and job opportunities for paramedics as well as the best neighborhood for me to move to. I need to ahve a sense of community. I do not want to live right in the city. I am looking to rent a small house. I will be moving there by myself and do not know anyone in the state. Advice on meeting people would be greatly appreciated as well.
