Hi there, does anyone on CD know of a restaurant in the area that serves Peking crispy duck&pancakes?

Peking Garden, Raleigh, North Carolina
They seem to have it on their menu. (I haven't eaten there in over 10 years, but I recalled from back then, they had duck.)

(I have to make the joke though: If that doesn't work out, you can always try the southern version of this dish, and get Chicken and Waffles instead)

Yep, that's the one that I was thinking of, too.

Is this place somewhere I need to check out? (Is it "special" good?) and is it sit-down, or take out only? Menu has a few good things on it, and I like places with "Taipei" and "Authentic" in the name..

Seriously, I've never heard much about it, but now two solid recommendations means I might need to pay a visit. Very near my home too?

(Definitely interested in the "ambiance". Is it a nice place to sit down? Full service?)

It's a small restaurant where you can dine-in. Friends are raving about their braised beef hotpot (which I haven't tried yet) so yes , I'd definitely recommend them. Ask for their Chinese menu because by default they give out their standard menu.

Be careful not to confuse Taipai in Morrisville with Taipai 101 in Cary. I'm going to have dinner at the latter on Thursday, so I'll report back. Very interesting menu's at both restaurants.

It should be noted that most places require advance notice if you are going to order this dish, like one day ahead. So call before you head over to avoid disappointment.

If you live on the west side of the Triangle, Merlion in Chapel Hill offers this dish.

Thanks guys. My hubby is from UK and we used to order take out from the local Chinese place and we would have the crispy duck pancakes as a starter with cucumber and green onions.
Thanksgiving is his bday so I am looking for places to take him and our five year old son to celebrate his bday.
