I may be reading too much into this but it sounds like the OP wants to put 500 down AND pay payments through the lot. Which likely means there's a credit issue.


I wonder if the OP could take a cab (or Uber, in her case) for a few weeks until she gets more money from the new job, then buy a very cheap car outright.

Those "buy here, pay here" places are sketchy.
