So excited! Best donuts I have very tried in their Kitty Hawk, NC location. Bad for the waist but great for a treat. I am already dreaming of donuts.

Better than a "hot" KK?

Most of the cupcakes shops that I've tried have been disappointing.

Maybe the cupcake shops will start fading away and the new fab will be donut shops!

Britts at Carolina Beach is amazing! I do love Krispy Kreme. NOT a fan of Dunkin. I've heard that Ann's in Rocky Mount is delicious. Bring on Ducks! Let the donut wars begin!

Duck Donuts are very tasty, but are much heavier than a traditional donut.

Personal favorite is the donut shop on Buck Jones across from the Cary Ice House. Best donuts in the Triangle, hands down!

Are they light or heavy?

More or less sweet than KK?

I enjoy light donuts that aren't sickly sweet. KK is too sweet.

Very light.
IMO, less sweet than KK.
Of course, they have these colossal apple fritters, which I have not tried, but I'm pretty certain that one would expend you daily caloric requirements.
