Nursing pay

I work for Duke as does my husband. I'm an NP, he's an RN. We both really feel as if we've been treated very well by Duke. Great benefits (healthcare, dental, vision, retirement). We've gotten raises every year and Duke just announced a 6% raise for staff RN's as well as for some other nursing positions to remain competitive with other hospitals in the area.

I have less years, so my base pay is less, but shift diff of 3.50 or 3.75 for evenings until 1045 and then 5.00 for nights, weekends are 10.00. Weekends at my hospital is considered Sat/Sun for days, and Fri 7p-Sun 715a for nights. I work a lot of weekend nights

I worked in both the Duke system and WakeMed. I definitely got paid more at WakeMed.
