Hello all,Need help/suggestions. My brother who lives in the UK is coming here to visit me next week, and I asked him where he would like to go eat. He said something American, preferably a buffett...we had taken him to a Golden Corral the last time he came, and he said some place like that. Well, nothing wrong with GC, but I want to take him somewhere a little bit upscale...any suggestions? Do they even have a upscale buffet place here for dinner? He will be working during the day, so the only available time is dinner time on a week day.Any ideas/suggestions will be much appreciated,D.

How about one of those Brazilian steak houses? They are all-you-can eat, but they bring the buffet to your table.

Your brother wanted something American, yet the recommendation was for a Brazilian place.

I see your point...The sad thing is that apart from Chinese, Indian, Brazilian and Golden Corral, I cant think of anything else.

Agreed. And since he lives in the UK, I wouldn't waste your time taking him to an Indian buffet here. Guaranteed he can get better curries over there!

If you can persuade him to avoid buffets and opt for a regular restaurant instead, the options are limitless. A couple I'd recommend are South & Michael Dean's.
