Exactly! If you do not want to provide the funding for textbooks then provide the funding for technology so students can use digital textbooks. Instead mandates are given without resources. I agree, for parents to help their children we need some sort of reference material.

I'm surprise we don't do this already. I know people say Ipads cost, but what about other tablets? Heck most of today's non-Ipad tablets can cost you less than $100 dollars, depending on what you want up or need there, and judging by what students need for school, nothing more than say 8 gigs should easily get them by the school year.

Some school are starting but if you refer to the thread about that,you wil see how many people are up in arms about that. Every body equates tablets with expensive I pads. It's a narrow view .
