I'm new to the Triangle and I'm having my first house guests next weekend. They will be here either Saturday, Feb 9th or Sunday, Feb 10th.

WHERE SHOULD I TAKE THEM??

Are there any events happening that weekend?

Please help!!

My parents really enjoyed breakfast at the Farmer's Market restaurant! That will start one day, hopefully others will have suggestions as to round out the weekend.

What part of the Triangle do you live in? It would be helpful to know your starting point

I live in Durham but really don't care about distance. I'd just like to show them the "best of the area" and because I'm still unpacking, I haven't found them on the own yet!

Thanks for the help!!

We moved to the triangle last year and have lived in Garner and Cary. The NC Museum of Art is world class if you like art. There is an eyemax downtown if you like movies on the ultra huge screen. City Market is a nice place to walk around it is a preserved area of town with the original streets. It is near the science museum if you want to make a day doing both. In the summer we like to go to Jordan Lake, it is $4.00 per car and you can go enjoy the lake all day long. This is also the land of golf if your parents like to golf. And, lastly, there are so many parks to go and take walks through. Pullin park is downtown and is really for kids, but is still fun. It has a train and a merry go-round along with a path that you can walk around a large pond. I am not sure if the attractions are running currently however. Good Luck!
