It was such a staple for my family growing up. I miss it. There's certainly no shortage of awesome Italian food in NYC and New Jersey, it's just the atmosphere of Amedeo's is tough to beat. My dad went to NC State and all.

Its funny, I drive by there every day going to/from work and wondered if it's any good. Maybe I'll have to stop in there for lunch sometime.

I haven't been to Amedeo's in decades, but I remember it being pretty good. When I was growing up we were regulars at Brothers and Two Guys.

I used to go to their location in North Raleigh.

Brothers and Two Guys are long gone, sadly. Back in the day, the Amedeo's was the "upscale" choice. Like any institution, it sometimes requires a jolt to get out of the doldrums of "the way we've always done it".

We go occasionally...for pasta mostly. Amedeo's at North Hills was my favorite of the locations. That was a long time ago.

I don't know about 'love' but it was/is a fantastic mom-pop Italian restaurant. We had 2 kids graduate from NC State so Amedeo's was a go-to place for years. Still enjoy hopping from booth to booth looking at all the throwback pictures. Tried the North Raleigh location but it never had the same feel as the original location and struggled from the beginning. They also adjusted (up) the menu prices at that location and that turned us off.

Went there once, was not impressed, never went back. Too many other options. In the slightly more upscale but still family friendly category, I prefer Casa Carbone.

I've been a few times, but I've never been overly impressed.
