I would have thought that one in Durham would be doing pretty good business. Surprised they are closing it.

Are Express locations the same as "neighborhood market" locations? One is planned in northeast Raleigh.

No. Neighborhood Market stores are a bit bigger than the Express stores and focus mainly on groceries and household items. It's basically the grocery section of a Supercenter.

Wasn't that WalMart on MLK in Durham just recently built in the last 5 years or so? Maybe I am getting that confused with the lowes. Either way, that Walmart just finished putting in a big Murphy USA gas station beside it in the last month or so, which is just weird if they are closing the Walmart down.

It opened right before Thanksgiving(ish) 2011. The gas station is not the most attractive, but it certainly has awesome gas prices.

A Zaxby's just opened there too so it seems like some other construction is going on. I wonder if they'll get another tenant to take over that Walmart.

Oh no! I never go there, but it's new, and I have seen a lot of people walk there from nearby apartments. I'm not a huge Walmart fan but ya know, sometimes it works for people economically.

Welp. Hope something good goes in there. There's a Kroger right there, so bring on something else.
