Hello!

My husband and I with our three children under 6 years old will be moving down there from PA in a few months. I have just begun my research and I was hoping to get some insight. My husband will be working in Louisburg but he will be traveling a decent amount so we want to be within 45 mins to the airport as well. I was thinking Wake Forest was a good location but I would love other opinions! Here are some things important to us:

1. Good Schools

2. 500-700K price range

3. A wooded lot would be nice but not a must

4. Within 10 minutes to grocery and shopping

5. Neighborhood with young families would be nice

6. Neighborhood with pool access would be nice

Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

Louisburg is really in the middle of nowhere, even for here in North Carolina. Wake Forest is your very best chance of finding all of your items.

And you'll have a ton of options because you can flirt with the outermost edges of new development because your husbands job is in the opposite direction of everyone else's.

I agree, Wake Forest is your best bet. Tons of families with small kids there. Good luck with the move.

Heritage is a very large development. That will either be great for you, or not, depending on your preferences.

Heritage Wake Forest meets all of your boxes, except the wooded lots. There are some, but there are not huge lots. Check out the section of Heritage on the golf course since they are older and have more mature trees. The section of Heritage on the same side of Rogers road as Harris Teeter has smaller lots and less trees.

Schools are great, a neighborhood pool and very much a community feel. It's about a 30 minute commute to Louisburg. You will find some nice homes in your price range, especially if you are OK with a resale.

I've had a few folks moving here from up north that will be working in Louisburg and Rocky Mt.

Most do buy in Wake Forest.

There is a beautiful n'hood with new homes and larger lots called Beau Pre; although it will be a bit further than being around the Heritage area of Wake Forest. Def. look at Heritage and Traditions.

RedZin...will you let the new agents know that they are not to message the posters, asking for their business. I say this because I have sent some of my clients to this forum and they are being contacted.
