Hello all! My well-behaved 2-year old pup, soon-to-be husband, (also well-behaved), and I are looking to find an affordable, long-term place for rent near UNC Chapel Hill come this August. We are moving from a beautiful, rural spot in the mountains of Western NC, and are hoping to find another place like it outside of the city. As daunting as the whole search can get with looking for a new home, we were thinking that this would be a good place to start:-) Please feel free to contact me if you happen to have a rental property on the outskirts of Chapel Hill, (within a 30 minute drive) or if can point us in the right direction. Thank you in advance:-)))))

There are numerous rentals in the rural buffer and beyond surrounding Chapel Hill that fit what you are looking for. You can start looking west of Chapel hill, out along old greensboro, NC54 and dairyland. Very pretty area, less than 10 min into UNC. There are a bunch of small subdivisions built in the 70's and 80's that have cool little houses on nice pieces of property, and there typically are a few in each that are rentals, a couple that I know of are Greenfield and the Trails.

Thank you so much! That definitely helps narrow my search. Are Greenfield and the Trails the names of subdivisions?
