There's another new proposal in there to tear down Tasu on Walnut and replace it with a building housing two mattress stores (seriously?!) and a Zoe's Kitchen. Not sure what Tasu's fate is.
Tasu has closed, making way for the mattress store project...just what we've all been waiting for!

I don't see how that's a bad thing. They're a furniture store, not a cafeteria.

Pastries aren't going to save that hell hole of a mall.

(Continued from Triangle area Random Thoughts)

Forget five years, this place didn't even last a whole year! Maybe 100,000 ft² was a bit too large for them.

Then again, I wonder if Burlington can carve some space out of this structure and 'move' its former operation from South Hills Mall there. It won't necessarily revive the mall*, but the location could be seen as being a little bit more stable than South Hills.

*(Eastland in Charlotte had a Burlungton and now it's a pile of rubble.)

Eastland - now there was a mall in the day (with ice skating!!). Was thinking about it the other day....I do think the one thing CTC has over Eastland is the location (been gone from Charlotte for quite a while)??

Given the rumors and the statements from the owner that they are working on a redevelopment I doubt they will be signing any long term leases.

I went to check their blowout sales. I just spend 5 minutes inside looking at their blowout price tag. look like they increased the price by 200% to then proposed a 70% discount on it.

Wonder why they did not last a year.

Why'd you link to Kader just then? Are they closed as well?
