Alright, we found a pretty affordable apartment off of MLK on barclay rd. Any comments on this area? I realize it's not the "heart of carrboro" but it looks rather close still and for the price it is very tempting. Thanks for any help.

I work pretty much right across the street from those apartments...not really considered a nice place. That's why it's cheap. Not really walkable to much either.

Did the house you had found in your last post not work out? That sounded like a much better option.

The house on Lindsay went from for rent to pending sale so I'm pretty bummed about that one

My fiancé will probably move in before me as I finish up my work here. She is looking to move by March. I realize many rentals are going to come and go from that time to now. My main goal is finding a area we want to establish as a home base and be able to feel safe especially if my fiancé will be alone for a little bit

I would just keep your eyes open then. This is a very transient community. Lots of opening especially in December/January, May and August around the university schedule.
