Hi,

I've been to Uwharrie, but seems like whenever I'm looking for Off-road - it comes to playing in the mud or rock climbing..

So if anyone can help finding a trail system, dirt or gravel, in forests, just to have a fun nature ride
It can have rocks or mud, but along the way, not as a main theme
I dont mind driving 5-6 hours to get to such place
If you know of a website or Facebook group.
It can be a weekend fun including camping as well

Thanks!

There appears to be some atv parks within a couple of hours

Cape Fear ATV park - Elizabethtown (1 hr 30 mins) Home Seems to have plenty of off-road "mud-pits", but states is has 75+ miles of marked, wooded trails. Primitive campsites only.

Busco Beach - Goldsboro (1 hr 10 mins) Busco Beach | ATV Trails, Motocross Tracks & Camping Sites Appears to be the "dirtiest" of the bunch. Looks like they do cater more towards "muddin", but I"m sure they have plenty of dry trails & they offer camping.

Carolina Backwoods - Ash, NC (2 hr 40 mins) CarolinaBackwoods ATV Adventure Tours Offers "dirty" or "high and dry" trails and has cabins

However, all of these places look like it's a "bring your own". I don't see anywhere for an option to rent an atv at these places. I"m not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but I hope that it helps!

I don't tell anybody anything anymore because more and more places are being closed down due to disrespectful jerks not following "Tread Lightly" or other basic four-wheeling responsibility.

Check out places in VA like Potts Mountain, George Washington National Forrest, there are a few other places in VA as well, Richlands Road in Western NC. There is one other that I am drawing a blank on. However many places are not around anymore, even harder to find the type of stuff you are looking for. I typically just go to private parks now, but I am more into rock crawling, not trail riding.

Join NC4x4 and learn more about trails in the area.
