Yes they were protestors at the people's house, the Legislative Building. It is mandated to be open to the citizens of North Carolina.

Are visitors allowed to attend sessions of the Senate and House?
Yes. Public galleries are accessible from the third floor of the State Legislative Building.

Protesting this mockery of Democracy we've got going on right now. Should be given trophies instead of court dates.

You are correct. It is not illegal to be present during NCGA proceedings.

Well said cchampagne232000! The other concern is that every one was charged w/ a Class I misdemeanor which means a court date unless the charge is dropped/not processed (which is notoriously common in Wake county btw)... and at what cost to we taxpayers?

Why not just edge them out the door and prevent reentry if truly necessary as does virtually every other jurisdiction in the country? Oh wait, I know... cause the 'NC Taliban' needs to assert it's awesome authority and impose it's 'Sharia' laws on us LMAO. Here are their Vitas FYI:

Pat McCrory (Ex-Guv AKA "Coal ASHole") - Not only does he have coal ash on his hands... he also architected a "pay-to-play" prison contract kickback.
Tim ("No") Moore (House Squeaker) - Shameless pork barreler and self-righteous nutjob extraordinaire.
Phil "Toll Road" Berger (Senate "Leader") - Best known for jamming illegal nepo legislation to put his son's name on top of appeals court ballot et. al...

I guess they didn't learn anything from the $500M+ lost due to the first HB2... just more shame to our state and millions more lost and wasted on unnecessary court costs.

That's what they were arrested for. I wasn't stating an opinion either way. Relax.
