Hello!

Any exotic bird owners here that could recommend a clean, reputable boarding place for an opinionated, chatty BG macaw? I may be relocating to this area, and would like to get my feathered friend out of harm's way until the dust has settled.

Thanks for weighing in.

I don't have any experience with them, but I know The Pet Pad in Cary boards small animals and birds.

Here's a place right near me, but I don't have a pet bird so I can't give an opinion. There's an avian vet associated with it, though.

I highly recommend Avian and exotic animal care in NW Raleigh on fidelity blvd. I wouldn't board at the pet pad in Cary.

I've never had to board my birds but the places that come to mind that could help would be Avian & Exotic as mentioned above, also Marden's Ark would probably have good suggestions for you. And there is a young lady I follow on FaceBook, I do not know her personally but became aware of her when she was on the news after coming home to find her house had been robbed and her dog was killed. Sad story, but anyway, I ended up following her and I know she has vet tech experience and is just starting a new pet-sitting business and I see that she has birds listed. You can find her on FB 'Our Family Pet Care'. Just some thoughts. Good luck!
