From what I read it's subjective, I don't mind it during the day to be honest if not frequent.

During the night might be more troublesome.
FWIW, they do lean on the horn for the High House Rd. crossing.
The trains are rolling pretty fast there, and are accelerating when coming out of Cary.

A feller tried to go around the gates a few years ago at that crossing and he and his wife were killed. The engineers cannot stop on a dime, but they make a lot of noise to warn people.

I am diagonally across from those townhouses.

It isn't frequent. I have been thinking about it since I read the post yesterday and I legitimately can't remember a single train coming through. Not saying they didn't, they are really that infrequent and I must be that conditioned to ignore them. Now if you could do something about my neighbor's dogs!

Side benefit of the location is a nice proximity to downtown Cary which is really coming along.
