Yes, but it's a Nextdoor rumor with no substance at all.
I heard it's going to be the world's largest Disney Store / Piggly Wiggly combo. They're going to bring back the cryogenically frozen head of Walt himself for the grand opening.
I buy pretty much all organic produce, and they USUALLY have everything I pretty much need; although sometimes I'll go to the farmers market in Durham. I went to Harris Teeter one day to get organic bananas and save myself from driving to Whole Foods, and they were like "We don't have those." I also get specific supplements and specialty items there; like grain free tortillas, flaxseeds, and lactose free organic sour cream for example. I'm dealing with some health issues at the moment, so my diet is a bit specific for now.
I used to be a baker at one of the Whole Foods locations in Atlanta, (where I moved here from) and know that I can ask and find out where all my meat if from, what it's fed, and it's living environment. I also know that Whole Food's fish is turned over every 48 hours so that it's always fresh. These things probably don't matter to most people, but it does to me. I do go to Super Target and Harris Teeter for non-specialty foods, or when I'm cooking for a big family/friends event and want to save money.
They usually have organic bananas at the HTs I go to. Heck, they have them at the food lion I go to occasionally even.

Really?? Nope! Not the one by my house in Cary. In fact, their organic produce selection is limited in general; like, they don't even have organic tomatoes.

I live in Cary and the HT I go to has them. So does the Neighborhood Walmart - in fact, there are time they only have organic bananas.
Whole Foods has some good deals - 4/$5 healthy prepared food (you get a lot), $2 wine/gelatto/drafts on certain days, and some really good produce sales. I don't buy a whole lot else there except bulk food (only from the containers that people can't put their hands in), and ingredients for a recipe I'm making if not carried by Trader Joe's. I imagine the new Whole Foods will be a pretty popular lunch spot for nearby RTPers, and I'll probably stop by too often on the way home from work. I'm consistently disappointed by produce quality at the other grocery chains (compared to TJ's particularly), so don't even bother shopping at them any more.

You know, I love Trader Joes for their low price options on meat, frozen items, and their cheese prices just can't be beat!! But honestly, I find their produce to often be subpar, and I usually pop into the one in Chapel Hill. There's been more than one occasion where I've purchased a bag of avocados, and 4 of the 5 have black spots in them once cut. Or a container of berries that turn out to be moldy once I get home, open the container and start to separate them for washing. Also, their organic selection is even slimmer than HT! But hey, for prepackaged items and such...great bargains.

I haven't had a problem with the product at the TJ's in Cary (Kildaire Farm Road). I buy stuff to make my lunch salads every week - romaine, cucumbers, kale, zucchini, carrots, peppers, sweet potatoes, etc. All good! I don't necessarily buy organic though, and find their prices are fair (and consistent). I don't eat meat or cheese, so I can't speak to that.
I bought a bag of apples at Aldi's once - every last one was bruised. I'd rather pay more and get better quality, but I know lots of people love Aldi's. Just not for me!
