4 teenagers rob a 15 year old walking near Alston Ridge Elementary School on Green Level Church Road, Cary, NC. Of course thanks to the American way, one of them had a gun on them. I see they are from Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh. No other info on the story on than the website. Cary Police is very good, but community members need to help them and Cary Police can always be improved. Everyone on edge here especially after the Parkland, FL news.

Sitting here watching WRAL, and not a mention of it. How is a 15 year old victim of an armed robbery near a school, not big news?

That's two armed robberies on Green Level Church in what, two weeks?

Then there's that rape/assault at the assisted living facility. Sigh.

West Cary just seems more a suburb of CH and Durham than part of Cary to me.

Similar situation in the town we moved here from - our village police patrolled that border like it was the DMZ. What happens is it becomes known by the non-residents not to even bother.

There's 10 million apartment complexes up there too. Surely that does not help.

Idk ... crime is part of the human condition it seems. Try to take precautions but ultimately it can happen to anyone at anytime.
