Hi folks

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good place to buy a futon/foldout couch in or near Carrboro, Chapel Hill or Durham?

I purchased one from Morgan Imports in Brightleaf. The address is 113 S Gregson St. Durham, NC 27701. Everyone says the mattress is really comfortable. Good luck.

I bought a frame on Craigslist for I think $70. Its a nice sturdy frame with solid wood arms. Im not comfortable with buying a used mattress, so I ordered a Gold Bond Premium Double Core Mattress and Elite Designer Print Cover + 2 pillows online. Free shipping and no sales tax I paid under $300. UPS delivered it within 4 days! Its well made, the mattress is so comfy definately worth the little splurge (there are cheaper options). Im really happy with my purchase considering it cost less than what I would have paid at Wallie World for their cheap metal frame, paper thin mattress and cover that would fall apart after the first wash.

If interested lmk and I will message you the link.

Thanks for all the replies. The problem with craigslist is that I need delivery and most of the people on craigslist can't deliver. I'll be sure to check out Morgan Imports.

Default Update

A quick update for anyone who might look for futons now or in future:

I was able to get a good deal at the Better Sleep Store at Chapel Hill. It's next to Food Lion and easily identifiable by the bright red Mini Cooper outside with 'Better Sleep Store' painted on it in white.

The store has a nice selection of futons and frames, and the prices are quite reasonable. The guy there was nice and helpful too. Plus delivery and setup with taking away of packaging material can all be had for $55.
