I live between Schaumburg and Arlington Heights. Those are pretty nice suburbs. Lots of greenery, lot of trails. I am wondering how these compare to Raleigh and surrounding areas?

Seems like the biggest difference is that Raleigh itself is suburban and there is no Chicago to visit.

So we don't miss the suburban feel of Chicago suburbs in Raleigh area?

I can't compare the suburbs, but I'm sure someone soon will comment on pizza and hot dogs (or any Chicago food) and how they are not like Chicago at all.

Cary, Apex, Morrisville, and North Raleigh are very suburban and quite similar to what you’d see in Schaumburg and Arlington Heights, just growing faster. We also have extensive greenways and parks all over the area. Even the “Inside the Beltline,” (i.e. I-440) part of Raleigh will feel more like Evanston than like the Loop.

Not at all. Raleigh is a giant suburb.
