We just moved to Apex and were wondering where we can buy fresh pita bread. Any suggestions?

I would go for Neomonde over off Hillsborough Street.

Neomonde for sure. The one on 54 might be closer to you depending where you are.

A side note about Neomonde... This is a story of an immigrant family which made good in their adopted home, Raleigh, NC, USA. It is a case study in The American Dream.

Agree with Neomande and Sasool. THere is a Sasool on Kildaire, near Trader Joes.

If you want pocketless pita (like for a Gyro), you might check out Costco in Apex. They market them as Naan, but are very good, and very much like Gyro Wraps.

Also, for a real treat, go out to dinner at Sitti in Downtown Raleigh. Their fresh Pita's (with pocket) are to die for.

Baghdad Bakery in Chatham Square in Cary. And yes, the owners are recent immigrants from Iraq.
