So do the trains to the airport in Denver. What I am suggesting is to build it as an electrified railroad rather than an electrified light rail line.
Every time somebody builds a bridge over the NCRR, NCRR makes them build it high enough so they could someday run 25,000 volt catenary wire under it and still have enough room to run double stacked intermodal freight trains under that. Obviously the future potential of electrification is on their radar. I do not think they would categorically refuse to share tracks because of electrification. (They might come up with some other reason, however.)
