Sorry for any Reddit users that already saw this....

The dash cam footage was sent in by a Reddit user and it took a while (and a news article) to get them to act, but they got this guy today.

I hope more people send in cam footage like this, to catch these jerks.

LOL, somebody wasn't paying attention to the news this past week, or else he just didn't care and kept doing it.

State Highway Patrol troopers have arrested a Knightdale man suspected of repeatedly using the shoulders of area highways to pass other vehicles.

Nathan Farlow Thorp, 34, of 1208 Colton Creek Road, was arrested at about 7:30 a.m. Friday after troopers spotted a black Ford Fusion passing several vehicles in the emergency lane of Interstate 540 near Capital Boulevard

It's really amazing he didn't kill somebody(s) or himself. What a jerk !! Hope they throw the book at him and that some shyster lawyer doesn't get his charges lowered or even dropped. This guy shouldn't be on the road. He should have to urber to and from work or lose his job.

Musta thought he was driving on 128/95 in Boston (for those unfamiliar with 128/95 in Boston, the breakdown lane is a travel lane during rush hour)

Clown.

The guy I posted about last week. Good to see this happen. And my dash cam is always on.

Plus he's a dope for getting caught, by now a lot of people knew about him.

Hope he loses his license.

Good, I'm glad he's gotten caught. Too bad they won't take his license for a while to teach him a lesson.

Doubtful he'll get anything serious since a good defense attorney will just say you can't see him clearly in the other videos or his license plate.

The considerate thing to do would be let him keep using the shoulder as his own personal lane.
