The greater Raleigh area use to be a nice southern town with lots of trees, southern accents and a friendly southern hospitity. Now most of the area is:

Acres and Acres of Trac housing and Commerical Strips where they cut down every tree to plant 1000 identical homes in a clear cut area baking in the sun.

Entire neighborhoods are now mostly Asian Immigrants on H2B Visas to fill the offices of the Research Triangle Park

Bumper to Bumper traffic on overload roads filled with Yankees and Immigrants driving alone because there is almost no public transportation

People now have the genile manners and social culture of Philly, NYC, and Newark New Jersey

SOUNDS LIKE A WONDERFUL PLACE TO LIVE!
You can still buy a home under the tree canopy in the older neighborhoods.

Yep, wonderful place to live. Especially if you’ve lived in Philly!

Many towns near state borders simply create their name from the two states.

Up there near Norlina is a place called Virgilina.

And down near Alabama and the Florida Panhandle is the town of "Florala". LOL.

Isn't Norlina supposed to have a station whenever higher-speed rail service reaches Raleigh?

I remember hearing that Henderson was miffed because it wouldn't have a stop but Norlina would.

Shhhhh! We don't want him here. He'd be much happier in the deep south where there are trees and no immigrants.
