I'm saying what was done in 2015/2016 to spy on his campaign was at a higher level. No actual violence, but the pot started to boil. These people have been spun up for almost half a decade...it was bound to happen. Same as the summer protests, which were hijacked (in same cases) by a fringe group.

Well, if the cops had treated the nuts in DC like BLM...100s would have been dead/gunned down...without a doubt!

Remind me again why they didn't shoot those terrorist? Oh....yea.

Yes, but those riots were due to bad policing that has been going on forever against one community who had enough...and it's still going on. Yet, in DC, the opposite, the police acting like mall cops with flashlights.

No way can anyone equate these two movements. The entire idea of what happened in DC was based on a bunch of BS lies by a weak-minded unpatriotic tyrant. And allowed to fume by members of that party who knew he was lying.

In MN, the police killed an already apprehended unarmed man on camera in broad day light...just imagine what happens off the camera. That's what lit the fire of BLM...the stuff you don't see.

So, please don't try to equate the two, plus if BLM had even tried to overrun the Capitol like that...100s dead, easily.

I gotta a feeling this Wednesday could get ugly....some of these people aren't afraid of the law because a lot of them are the law.

Don’t forget Michelle Obama wore that sleeveless dress, so . . . even-steven, I’d say.

And I'm saying it's a lie you believe in. The parts of I've bolded just indicate how wrong you are.

Just stop with the "whataboutism." The issue here is about fears issued by our government agencies that domestic terrorists with the false belief that the presidential election was stolen may retaliate in state capital cities including Raleigh. If you don't have anything to say to stay on this topic, then don't say anything. It'll help improve the conversation for us all.

Well you bolded my entire post, so I really didn't know what you were going for there (thought it was some sort of mistype).

Yes, I really believe the DNC funded the (false) research against their competition and I really do think that info was handed to the FBI which was used as the basis for FISA warrants to spy on the campaign. Why do I believe that? Because the DOJ stated it in their report:

https://www.justice.gov/storage/120919-examination.pdf

You think this is some crazy luny theory but it's literally what happened - that should scare the crap out of everyone just like the assault on the Capitol.

Personally, I don't think anything is going to happen. The day will come and go without any major frenzies, but the talking heads will be drumming up "what if's" throughout the day to keep people watching. Clickbait at its best. Raleigh especially leans left - really no reason to come here and we really don't have much of a home grown extremist issue here.

You seem to think only locals will protest. I bet we get plenty out of towners who bring their guns.

IMO what lit the fire in MN and around the country was a large % of the population out of work and getting paid $600/week + state benefits with nothing else to do.

Tony Timpa died almost in the exact same manner (links to CNN article). What happened wasn't a racial thing but a LEO issue as you stated. It was a valid complaint and some stuff needs to change, but personally I don't think the public appreciates what cops go through on a daily basis to keep the bad guys at bay.

Maybe. But Raleigh? There is bigger fish to fry four hours north.
