Might it have something to do with their hours - 11:00 - 4:00, Tuesday through Saturday? And they close early regularly.
Those aren't exactly dangerous hours. But they are hours when fewer people are working downtown than they were pre2020.
Yep. She complains about apartments and high rises, but wouldn’t that create more potential customers? Aren’t they cash only? In this day and age, that’s a big nope right from the start. I’m guessing that means no way to order via UberEats/DoorDash, too?
Never mind that Sam Jones and Longleaf are now in the mix, along with the aforementioned Pit.
Agreed with much of the above. Downtown has its share of issues, but the reasons (excuses) provided amount to little more than a refusal to adapt to what restaurant ops demands in 2023.
Recent Google Reviews and subsequent ownership responses (including a customer served moldy bread with ownership follow-up acknowledging this was an ongoing issue at the time and a customer being served dry chicken with ownership follow-up acknowledging this was old “end of pan” chicken not suitable to serve but a new wait staff wasn’t made aware) drive this point home.
Open 27 hours a week, cash only, not available on any delivery platforms, notoriously bad service, and never open past 5PM in the heart of DTR. Here are your reasons. Beasley's, St. Roch, Tonbo, Caffe Luna are always packed and they're in the same area.
