We have just returned from my daughter's high school graduation and on her diploma and in the program it says that she is an NC Scholar. I am sure this is a great honor but it is the first we have heard of it and we have no idea what it really means. She has only been at school in NC for a year as we moved down here right before her senior year.

It's an academic honor. I don't remember the very specifics of it, but it has to do with maintaining certain GPA in core classes and I think maybe a curriculum focus on Math and science.
Her classes from her last school probably counted towards it on her diploma.
Congrats!

Thank you so much!

I am so glad she is receiving some credit for all of her hard work. It was not easy switching schools right before her senior year but she managed to not let if affect her grades.
