I was just wondering if there were any local websites I should look at when I look for a job. I looked at craigslist, careerbuilder, monster and hotjobs. Thanks!

The type of employment you're looking for would be very helpful.

When I was looking for dh a job, I used to regularly check with all the city and county employment sites. He was looking for any labor type job. I went to city of durham, county of durham, city of chapel hill, orange county, wake county, Wake county public school system, and so on.

I am a very experienced Executive Assistant with 10 years of experience working for Hedge Funds and Investment Banks. I understand that I will 1. have to take a pay cut coming from NYC and 2. Possibly end up working in a small office instead of a large company and that doesn't bother me at all. My FI and I are moving down to NC after we get married and would like to start a life in Raleigh. We absolutely love it down in NC. Hope that helps.

are you linkedIn? I just sent out 3 job reqs, 2 for friends, one for a hh who sent me an oppty because I fit the profile of what the client was seeking -- with a pedigreed resume you must have lots of connections, and I'm sure given the transplants here, that you should be able to get some help from them!

Seriously -- check it out -- linkedin.com the three jobs I know of (actually 4) are in NYC, London, and 2 virtual offices. That's the power of that website. when you are not looking, you hear about opportunities all the time.
