Default [Now, with actual poll]-->Poll - Triangle Household Income & Town of Residence

PART ONE

In & Out
Senior Member

OK, here is the deal. I have no clue how to start a poll. I searched and could not figure it out. So I am hoping one of the mod's can change this into a poll for me, with radio buttons. I would like it to be the following double poll:

For the Triangle area only:

What is your annual household income:

* Less than 50k
* 50k to 75k
* 75k to 100k
* 100k to 125k
* More than 125k

No names need to be included. This is NOT meant to identify the income or residence of any particluar person(s). The purpose of the poll would be to enlighten people, especially those thinking of moving to the area, of what income is normal here for each town.

As I've said before, I think this is a completely bogus reason to request this information. Why does anyone need to know the "normal" income level for any town? If you are worried about keeping up with the Jones then you can get income level info on the City Data main site. Income level is only one tiny part of the picture when looking at if you can afford a certain area or city.

And don't you know in the South it's rude to talk about money. It's just not done.

Knowing what the income level of a town is a factor? How is it not? It effects many things: schools, taxes, cost of goods, etc.

That being said trying to get that amount from this message board isn't really going to give you an accurate assessment.

I can see the merits to both sides, but if someone wants info about the RTP area, that's what this board is for. I just wanted to provide the technical assistance to the OP.

LOL, no, we're not the same people. I've never even seen them on here, but I knew how to make a poll, so I thought I'd help since the mods seemed to be elsewhere right now.
(BTW, I think the point was to get a feel for how much people on here made and where they lived. You're not supposed to post your salary.)
