Searched this forum for old posts on movers. Still posting

Has anyone used movers very recently ? We have stuff from a 4bd room house to be moved. Most of it has been left packed from our long distance move from out of state.

Has anyone used big star services ?

I can tell you one to avoid - I'll DM you. They were awful - an hr and a half late, slow as molasses and made a mess of our walls moving things upstairs. They alos scratched a brand new BR set.

Two Men and A Truck are great. We've used them 3 times - my daughter once.

I used Movin' on Movers in Apex for my move last month from Apex to Cary. I was very happy with the job they did - they took particularly good care of my appliances (front-loading washer & dryer, stove, dishwasher). I can't speak to price as I didn't get multiple bids but the price seemed very reasonable (which is why I went with them).

I've always had a good experience with Three Men and A Truck. Just make sure that you are there to over see.

I've used both Holloway Movers, and Furniture Cab (locally owned and operated) for my moves. They were both pretty fast moves, and not all that expensive. DM me if you want contact information for either.

Sorry... I meant Two Men and A Truck in my earlier post. Both times I've used the company, they have sent three guys. Ooops

We used Two Men and a Truck recently and I liked how they didn't try to rip us off. The guy quoted us a fairly high amount for moving all our furniture out, storing it one night and then moving into new house.

But then he said that what we really should do is rent a truck from Penske and have his guys come help with the big stuff. We did that and ended up paying 1000 bucks less than what we would have.
