I was walking around Lochmere Lake with my son and we saw snakes slithering in the water near the shore line. Ugh! What type of snakes are they and are snakes in all our area's lakes?
Snakes like lakes as well as they can be breeding ground for rodents for them to feed off of or toads. The current climate is great time to be a snake
You really need to help us out by describing the snake.
What color was it
What kind of markings did it have on its belly or back
What was the shape of its head
Was it eyes shape like diamonds or a cat
Did it actually swim in the water or just near it
Also a photo of the snake would answer all the above
I did come across a rat snake at Shelly Lake. Geez....I'm doing triathlons in local likes . .yikes...
