We have some vinyl siding that needs minor repair post wind damage. Just a couple pieces on one side of the house. Wind must have gotten "under it" just right and peeled some pieces up. None are actually broken/cracked (I don't think). Of course, they are way up high on the second floor. It is a "small job" so could be difficult to find someone to address it. Looking for recommendations.

Might be interested in whole-house siding replacement options and companies too -siding is 26 years old.

Thanks you!

I have repaired vinyl siding with high density closed cell minimal expanding marine foam. Once cured and trimmed, it's easily painted to match. It's water resistant and very rigid.

However vinyl siding has a finite life (gets brittle) and at 26 years you probably exceeded that already, in my experience. Hardie plank is the go to siding for replacement. My son's home has vinyl siding and the window/house trim would have to be updated too.

Nothing is inexpensive, material is hard to get, contractors in high demand and work quality is all over the place.

If it is just popped loose, it is a handyman job.
Just needs a 7 dollar tool to pull down on the bottom to lock it back in. If it needs to be nailed back in place, the same tool is used to pop loose the piece above to allow access to nail.

If it is slightly damaged, it should be possible to swap a piece or two from a less conspicuous area to install there. For me, that would be from under my deck.
