Any Local NC hotels/resorts similar to Poconos PA? (Charlotte: homes, luxury)

We are hoping to find some place or places local to NC that are similar to the Caesar Resorts in the Pocono's we used to frequent while living in NY. It's a bit too much of a drive at this point for us just for a few day stay. We're basically interested in finding a nice romantic couples getaway place with nice, clean rooms with special amenities such as private jacuzzi/pools with breakfast/dinners included in the rates and some social events (although the latter is not all that important to us). Any suggestions from those familiar would be appreciated ? Thanks in advance.
