Default louisburg older architecture

We have been researching homes and areas in and around Raleigh for about 6 months now. We are looking to relocate in August. During a search today, where I decided not to enter a city, but only my requirements of 4BR, basement, formals, under $400K. While I know my price range eliminates me from many right off the back; I am hopeful. Then today, I saw a home in Louisburg. It was built in 193, which I love, a real dutch colonial, which I love. Are there homes like that in Raleigh or Wake Forest. Could I reasonably get into one, or do I move to Louisburg and count on a 2 hour commute each day for my husband into RTP? How are the schools in Louisburg?
