I think most of them are lame myself, but I do remember one I liked. It was something like IH8I40...Where did I see it? On the I-40 commute of course.

More than vanity plates people have ovalo's and stickers on their back windows like mad. Those are really tacky. You see less cars without them, than with.

Mine says the breed of my dog. I figure people wonder what that guy peeking out the back window is (since they always ask).

I am not a fan of the ovals that originated with European Country codes. I can never figure out what they mean and the explanation below the large letters is way too small to read while driving.

im not really a fan of any of that stuff stuck to the back of people's cars. i do think i might look into getting some type of specialized plate, though, because i think the standard NC plate is kind of ugly. i wish you could customize your plate in a series of colors. black and white would be fine for me.

Mine was 711JNKY, but I haven't seen many 7-11s in NC - maybe I haven't been looking in the right areas

Must say, I still love those Slurpees.

yeah i just looked at that site and there's some much better options. what's weird is i've never thought of personalizing plates, or even getting special ones. but with so many specialized choices, there's all kinds of personalizations still available. i can get my name, my wife can get her name, i can get BIO, PIG!, PORK, JEFF, LXUS, LEXS... the possibilities are endless. and i already knew some 4 letter words...

I like to think there are so many here because folks here have a good senses of humor and are even willing to laugh at themselves. Unlike in FL where it seemed like everyone drove big black SUVs with darkly tinted windows--like they're all celebrities or something
