How is the construction industry doing there? I am a project manager for a builder that does everything from commercial, public works, schools to Homes. Is the job market dried up or is there room for a hard working experienced construction manager?

The construction market here for private projects has been brought to an absolute stand-still. Your best bet is to get on with a company that's doing government-funded work. There's a lot of development at UNC-CH and a decent amount at NCSU.

Private work is pretty much dead and has been for about a year.

(My employer services architects, surveyors and engineering...we'd see the work long before a construction company would, we're the slowest we've been in YEARS and are furloughing hours, etc)

It's pretty bad here
