I will be driving south on 401 from 98 to Perry Creek to get to work on Capital. What is the deal with the 10mph the whole way down? Is it because of the construction or is this just pure congestion? I had heard that 401 was to be widened all the way up to Louisburg, is this true?

When did it turn into 10 mph? I live live near mitchell mill/ligon mill intersection a few miles south of Rolesville and and had not heard tell of such.

Yes they are going to widen 401 all the way to the franklin county line first and then eventually all the way to louisburg. Actually it should be one of the easier widening projects that I've seen as there isnt too much in the way were the medians are.
