If you were going to pay $10 to enter a Raleigh fair-type event, what attractions/freebies would you expect to see?

The large craft shows that come to the area usually charge for admission. I don't like paying for admission. I would rather use the money to buy an item. I often wonder why they don't charge for admission but give you a credit if you buy an item. Having said all that, I don't think most of these charge more than $4 to $6 for admittance. $10 seems very high to me.
Why I'd pay $10 to sit in an outdoor restaurant-like setting with other people AND their dogs and watch the fireworks. The fireworks, of course, would come from folks who can't abide dogs at outdoor tables.
These days, I'm less willing to pay admission unless its for a cause, or for some sort of school event. I would be less inclined to pay admission if I had to pay for parking or even if parking were too complicated.
We'd pay if it were the only way to see our kids in some sort of performance or if going to see neighbor/friends kids. We went to an international festival to see our neighbors daughter perform. We pay to watch our kids school games ($4/persons).
good, all-day live music outdoors with lawn seating and plenty of reasonable food vendors around on a gorgeous day. perhaps some vendors with things to buy or art for some retail therapy.
hmmmm....sounds like some of moore square events. <grin> and they are free!
