Wondering if anyone is a member of the Kerr YMCA near Wake Forest. I've read reviews elsewhere mentioning their equipment and personal trainers.

I'm looking for other opinions. Is it worth signing up? Are there any issues?

Thanks.

We are members there. It's fine - and definitely clean, which is really important in this type of facility. The staff is nice enough, but we've not used a personal trainer. Usually we use the pool, which is kept up very well. The hours are a little short on weekends, but I guess they are working from experience with setting hours.

It's worth a try. You wouldn't be sorry as long as you are motivated to use it often.

If you become a memeber in the wakefield facility, you can use the Factory gym as well. We like the Y, it is clean and convenient. Good luck :-)

I think the Kerr facility is one, if not the best run YMCA I have been to in the country.

It is clean.
They have increased the number of cardio machines.
Never used a pers. trainer, but they seem to be very good.
It does get crowded at peak times, but I have always been able to get in and out in a reasonable amount of time.
Child care appears well run.

I think it is as good or better than the "private" or chain facilities in the area.

I was a member for about 5 years, but have build a home gym so I no longer go.
